A contemporary home open to the landscape
This single-family villa in Vigodarzere, near Padua, was born from the challenge of designing a house on an unusually shaped lot. The home is developed on a single level along a north-south axis and features a double-pitched roof with traditional clay tiles, a reinterpretation of Veneto’s rural architecture in a contemporary key. The project combines formal simplicity, authentic materials, and a strong connection with the surrounding landscape.

The residence discreetly integrates into the rural context by taking advantage of the elongated, narrow lot. The floor plan minimizes circulation spaces to ensure maximum functional efficiency, offering spacious and luminous rooms that open directly onto the garden and swimming pool.
The architectural language of the villa blends simplicity and essentiality, presenting a neat and disciplined image. The double-pitched clay tile roof evokes traditional Venetian farmhouses, reinterpreted in a modern way. This seemingly traditional element gains a contemporary character thanks to carefully controlled proportions and its continuity with the main volume.

Special attention was given to finishes and materials: exposed concrete, pigmented in the mix and cast with vertical formwork, gives the façades an elegant and tactile rhythm. In contrast, the teak flooring in the solarium area introduces a natural and refined touch, emphasizing the relationship between architecture and landscape.
Even the fencing, minimal and consistent with the façade materials, is designed not merely as a boundary but as an extension of the architectural project. The roof extends beyond the main volume to create a porch connecting the living area to the pool, supported by a sculptural pillar that enhances the dynamism of the composition.
