The project involves interior designing of a portion of a semi-detached house, situated in the countryside of Vicenza, near the urban centre of Rossano Veneto.
The interior layouts are studied to firstly adapt to the client’s requirements and secondly to the existing windowing.
The house is composed of three levels: on the basement floor a multipurpose space, a rooms for laundry, wine cellar and equipment rooms find place; whereas on the adjacent area, an hypogeum interior garden has been located, featured by zenithal light, dropping from an horizontal glazed section of the ceiling, that creates pleasing light effects.
On the upper floor the space is composed of the living area. Featured by a wide opening that faces the garden, it is composed of a single uninterrupted space that can, however, be portioned by the opportunity of installing glass sliding and recessed panels.
The bedrooms are situated on the first floor.
The discrete and diffuse light that permeates all rooms comes from recessed illuminating bodies installed in the false ceiling, inside which also technical and air systems find place.
The staircase, a monolithic block of wood with full height glass parapet, becomes itself a featuring element and retains the concept of visual continuity as inspiring principle of the whole intervention.
