In this project for a holiday villa in Sardinia, MIDE architetti enhances the view of the panorama, large windows frame the sea and define the architecture.
The design proposal fits into the strongly characterising context of Golfo Aranci with a direct view of Tavolara.
The pre-existing building is demolished in favour of a two-storey solution staggered in plan, which adapts to the site's slopes.
The distribution of spaces is designed to meet the client's needs and is intended to create a continuous dialogue between indoor and outdoor environment.
Access is from the ground floor: a window overlooking the sea immediately welcomes guests on arrival.
On the same floor is the living area characterised by a large opening towards the garden on one side and the sea on the other, and consisting of a single large room without internal divisions containing the kitchen and dining room.
The staircase leading to the basement separates it from a second, more reserved space. Natural light is filtered by the overhang of the flat roof and the vegetation surrounding the house. On exiting, a sheet of water anticipates the view of the sea and encloses the outdoor terrace.
The basement contains the sleeping area, the cellar and a relaxation room with a view of the pool.
