Rather than imposing itself on its surroundings, the structure establishes a direct relationship with them: large glazed surfaces, filtering screens, natural light and material continuity soften the boundary between inside and outside.
The room extends beyond its enclosed perimeter, turning terraces, patios and outdoor areas into open-air living spaces. Filtering elements regulate sunlight, privacy and views, while the internal layout creates a fluid sequence of spaces dedicated to rest and wellbeing.
Here, the landscape is not simply a backdrop but an active element of the architectural experience. Light, shadows, weather conditions and seasonal changes continuously transform the perception of the space, making each stay unique.
The name Aether refers to the fifth element of ancient Greek tradition, associated with the pure space of light and sky. This idea translates into an architecture conceived not as an isolated object, but as a device through which a place can be inhabited and experienced.
In 2026, Aether - live the Fifth Element received the Hotel Design Award in the Outdoor Experience Room category.
